Interesting facts
Wine "Le Greal" made from Syrah grapes with a little Marsala, grown on a small vineyard "Le Meal", known for its excellent terroir. The vineyard is located in the central part of the slope on the classic Rhône soil of cobblestones. The age of the vines is more than 60 years. Harvested grapes are not separated from the stems; fermentation takes place in neutral vessels without temperature control. After aging for 22 months in 228-liter oak casks, the wine is bottled without clarification and filtration. Le Gréal is the flagship wine and the pinnacle of the estate. It comes from 100-year-old Syrah vines, farmed organically, in two of the Hermitage hillside’s greatest spots. 90% comes from Le Méal, with the rest coming from Les Gréffieux.
