Interesting facts
The name "L'Esquerda" means "the crack" in Catalan, referring to the rocky and rugged nature of the soil. Michel Chapoutier established Bila-Haut in 1999 to produce top-notch wines in Roussillon rivaling those from the Rhône. The wine is a touchstone example of biodynamic farming in the region.
